Ponte Vecchio is a Medieval bridge over the river Arno. It is one of the major attractions for the tourists visiting Florence, especially because of its shops, built along the bridge, as was once common. Butchers initially occupied them; the present tenants are jewelers, art dealers and souvenir sellers.
